A Gathering of Women Who Write

Defying definitions that categorize and chastise
We write stories and lyrics to affirm who we really are.
We detail our hopes and sorrows
And we word-paint beautiful dreams —
Crafting truth as we live it
With powerful words.
As women who write
We share our private thoughts and flights of imagination.
And, in so doing, we form a sisterhood
Supporting our understanding
That Eve has many faces
But one heart that beats on one accord.

Women Who Write hosted our first Open Mic of this membership year at Cafe Metro in Denville, NJ. Its success inspired out volunteers to plan hosting more like events, in multiple locations.
