New Jersey Bards Poetry Review 2022

New Jersey Bards Poetry Review 2022 by Laura Daniels Published by: Local Gems Press

176 Pages

In early spring of 2022, I responded to a Facebook posting asking for poetry submissions from New Jersey poets for an upcoming anthology. Each poet could submit by email up to three poems totaling 100 lines or less for consideration. All styles, themes, and genres would be considered. I submitted three poems and was notified by the New Jersey Bard team, headed by James P. Wagner, that my poem Sunday Cooking was selected for publication in the New Jersey Bards Poetry Review 2022, an annual anthology highlighting New Jersey poets. The anthology was put out by Local Gems Press who began publishing in Long Island, NY, in 2010. An email informed me that a book launch was planned for June of 2022. I participated in the book launch held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Parsippany, NJ and read my poem. I liked the idea that it was a book of poems by New Jersey poets. It made the book feel special because it was a place where my poems were welcomed and understood. I submitted poems that reflected my New Jersey life. ~ Laura Daniels Available at: LocalGemsPoetryPress.com.
